2008 USSF REFEREE MEETINGS

If you have changed your email address, it is
very important that you update your listing with John Hill at john@papillon-ag.com.

Every year, USSF registered referees are required to attend at least FIVE (5) hours of In-service training to be eligible to re-register for the following year.

(Updated March 31, 2008 by JEH)
To all FSRA officials!

PLEASE READ, HEED, and PROCEED, as there are some changes in the way you should re-certify for USSF this year.

Prior to completion of your in-service training, you need to complete the following:

1. All referees over the age of 18 will be required to go through the Risk Management process on the OYSAN web site for 2008 registration.

Neither the badge nor pink copy of the registration form will be given to the referee until it is verified that he went through the Risk Management Process.  Please go to this link for this process:  https://ssl.hammerhead.net/OhioNorthRM/start.asp
"Ref1" is the league, and "70855" is your password.

A $10.00 State Administrative Fee will be added to all 2008 referee registrations.  A person will only have one fee added each year even if they are
registered in different categories.  Any instructor, assessor, or assignor that is not a referee will have the $10.00 administration fee added to that
registration. The 2008 registration fee for a grade 7 or 8 referee will be $35.

2. You need to re-certify for the 2008 season ON LINE , and bring a copy of your confirmation.  Print two copies for your records, as you will need them as proof of payment.  Using any Internet browser, go to www.ussoccer.info.  Login using your User ID, Password and follow the directions.

The overriding reasons for this process are to minimize the work required during and following recertification, and to greatly reduce the need for transferring money from FSRA to Ohio North.  The only persons that should have to fill out a hard copy of the 2008 form (at the AGM or recertification clinics in January or March) are those who are do not possess a USSF number, did not receive a USSF 2008 Renewal form, do not have any access to a computer, or do not want to give the system their credit card information.  Please make the effort and do this ON LINE.

Please be advised that there will be only two recertification clinics in early 2008? one each in January and March (one on a Saturday and one on a Sunday each).  Can you also receive 1-1/2 hours of in-service training at our monthly meetings (2nd Thursday's, 7pm, at LCCC, room CC228.  However, no test will be given at these sessions.
